The National Stroke Foundation recommends the F.A.S.T. test as an easy way to remember the most common signs of stroke. Using the F.A.S.T. test involves asking these simple questions:
- Face Check their face. Has their mouth drooped?
- Arms Can they lift both arms?
- Speech Is their speech slurred? Do they understand you?
- Time Is critical. If you see any of these signs call 000 straight away

The Emergency+ app is a free app developed by Australia's emergency services and their Government and industry partners. The app uses GPS functionality built into smart phones to help a Triple Zero (000) caller provide critical location details required to mobilise emergency services.

Transcord Community Transport inc assists Gold Coast residents who have difficulty getting to medical & other appointments, social activities etc and who are transport disadvantaged.
Transcord seeks people interested in volunteering as a driver one or two days a week: cars, wagons or 8-12 seaters, standard licence only required. Familiarisation process to get driver authority, get to know procedures etc.
