Seems like we have a bit of a tradition happening so come on, lads, hand over your loose foreign change to another bloke to buy a beer and raise a toast and send us your yarn and pic.
When I went overseas last year Shady Lane gave me a few quid to take. They were English pound coins that would no longer be legal currency after September.
I said I’d buy a beer and raise a toast to him, which I did at The Sherlock Holmes in Northumberland Street near Charing Cross railway station and Trafalgar Square which displays a large collection of memorabilia related to Holmes. Previously known as Northumberland Arms, it appeared in the 1892 Holmes story The Adventure of the Noble Bachelor.
